Autoridades dos EUA barram entrega de cerveja feita por drones

Lakemaid Beer iria entregar bebidas por meio de coordenadas de GPS. Administração Federal de Aviação quer primeiro regular drones comerciais.

A "Lakemaid Beer", empresa fabricante de cervejas no EUA, viu seu novo nicho de entregas de bebidas feitas por drones barradas por autoridades norte americanas, que querem submeter os equipamentos a regulações nacionais.
O equipamento, que funciona a partir de coordenadas GPS, consegue levar até 12 cervejas por viagem, e é similar ao projeto anunciado pela gigante Amazon, também nos EUA. A companhia até fez um vídeo mostrando como seria o sistema de entregas ( assista ).
A companhia teve a ideia do transporte por meio de pequenas aeronaves não-tripuladas para resolver o problema de pescadores que não tinham como ter acesso a cerveja, já que moram próximo a lagos congelados nos estados de Minnesota Wisconsin.
De acordo com o jornal “Metro”, a Administração Federal de Aviação (FAA, em inglês), impediu que o projeto fosse implementado agora, já que ainda são necessárias aprovações de regulamentações normas técnicas e de segurança para que drones possam ser usados comercialmente. “Ficamos um pouco surpresos com o interesse da FAA nisso, pois iríamos operar abaixo do limite de 120 m de altura”, afirmou o presidente da Lakemaid, Jack Supple.
Alguns clientes que ficaram entusiasmados com a ideia já começaram a assinar uma petição pedindo a liberação dos drones de entrega, que poderá ser enviada à Casa Branca após 100 mil assinaturas.
